Chapin Fall Swag Sale

2022 Holiday Swag Sale

Thank you to everyone who supported our charity by purchasing our beautiful holiday swags and bows that were made by our members. We enjoyed participating in the Holiday Market at Chapin High School, which was a fundraiser for the high school band, and gave us a great opportunity to reach a broader audience. The sale at the school was a huge success and coupled with our pre and post sale efforts we raised over $2400! We look forward to putting these funds to work in 2023 supporting worthy causes right here in the Chapin community.

Chapin Exercise for a Cause

Exercise for a Cause

Chapin Women in Service organized an "Exercise for a Cause" event early this summer. The Saturday morning exercise class was under the direction of CWS member Angie Duckworth of Duckworth Fitness. The cost of admission for the class was $15 or a new bra. CWS appreciates all who participated and helped us to provide 78 bras for Sistercare. Forty bras were donated and with the funds collected it was possible to purchase 38 more. It is our joy to help this organization that offers assistance to women who are dealing with troubled times and unsafe circumstances.

Spring 2022 Home & Garden Tour

Spring 2022 Home & Garden Tour

The Chapin Women in Service 2022 Spring Home and Garden Tour was a great success. Over 110 people purchased tickets to tour five homes in the Amicks Ferry Road area on May 15, 2022. After touring the homes and outside living areas of the homes, guests were invited to an Appreciation Reception at Timberlake Country Club where they enjoyed finger foods and homemade desserts. There was also a silent auction with many interesting items out for bid.

CWS planned this event as a fundraiser with the proceeds going to Beautification of Chapin projects. This is a way for the group to give back to the Chapin Community. It would not have been possible without the five couples who graciously allowed their homes to be showcased for the day. CWS appreciates all the hard work they did to prepare their individual properties for the tour and offer our sincere thanks to the following homeowners: Annette and Perry Linn, Patty and Chris Bimonte, Mandy and Randy Rushe, Lynne and Darren Drake, and Barbara Shockey.

The five homes on the Home and Garden tour were as unique as their owners. Chapin Women in Service appreciate them for allowing us to put these homes on display and look forward to the good that will come from this event as we use the proceeds for beautifying Chapin.
